Louisville, Ky. (WHAS11) - Louisville Metro Police have arrested Quenton Huddleston, the man wanted for killing his girlfriend's brother.
On Thursday morning Louisville police held a news conference, saying that they found Huddleston in a basement, hiding in a crawl space.
They said he refused to come out, so they sent in a dog, which bit him, forcing him to leave that space.
Huddleston is accused of shooting his girlfriend and shooting and killing his girlfriend's brother, 19-year-old Joshua Gordon.
The shooting happened Monday at the Willow Creek Apartments on Shepherdsville Road.
According to the police report Gordon's sister begged Huddleston not to kill her while she attempted to protect her 3-year-old child. The report goes on to say that the mother was shielding her child when she was shot in the face.
Police said it was important for his girlfriend's safety that they bring Huddleston into custody.
Huddleston's girlfriend remains in critical condition. He is scheduled to face a judge on Friday.
In addition to murder and attempted murder, Huddleston is charged with burglary, stalking and violating an emergency protective order.
