LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- A Louisville woman is facing multiple charges after police said she picked up a baby, choked him and held a knife to his throat.

According to police, while in an argument with the victim's mother, Breeann Hurkes, 19, picked up the young child and placed him in a choke hold. While holding the child in the choke hold, court documents indicate that Hurkes held a steak knife to the victim's neck.

Police said the child's face turned purple during the incident which reportedly happened on June 27, 2013.

Police said Hurkes told the mother of the child that she would kill the baby if "she did not receive the truth."  The documents do not make clear what the dispute was over, however prior to picking the child up, Hurkes allegedly stabbed the victim's mother.

Hurkes is charged with wanton endangerment, terroristic threatening and assault.
