LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11)—A Louisville teen was arrested on Friday and charged with attempted murder.

Police said the suspect, Quentin McDougle, 18,  and another male chased the victim on foot from 27th and Chestnut Street to the victim’s residence on W. Magazine Street on Jan. 25, 2014.

As the victim attempted to enter his home, police said the suspects physically grabbed him, preventing him from entering the residence.

Police said that McDougle removed a handgun from his waistband and handed it to another individual, telling him to shoot the victim.

The victim told police the armed individual pointed the handgun at his chest and fired the weapon in an attempt to kill him.

The victim was struck in the left shoulder.

Police said McDougle is known to the victim from their previous encounters and is a known gang member. He was identified through a photo-pack.

McDougle is charged with attempted murder and has other charges against him and is being held at Metro Corrections on a $50,000 cash bond.
