LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – A Louisville mother is facing charges after police say she changed her daughter’s prescription for ADHD medication in order to sell the pills.
38-year-old Tabatha Wadsworth was arrested Tuesday evening at Rite Aid on Preston Highway.
Police were called to the store after getting a report that a woman was trying to pick up medication using a forged prescription.
According to the arrest report, Wadsworth was in the store’s parking lot and admitted she forged the prescription using a nail file and lied to her doctor saying her school asked for extra medication.
Police say Wadsworth was able to get 240 pills during the course of four months and told officers that her daughter did not take any of the pills because she didn’t need them.
