LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- A Louisville man is facing multiple charges after police said he was driving recklessly.
According to the police report, Jesus Medina, 19, was driving erratically while traveling eastbound on Outer Loop.
Police reported Medina going 85 mph in a 55 mph zone and swerving into other lanes.
When officers finally caught up to Medina, he lost control of his vehicle and drove off the road into a field, according to a police report.
Medina then fled from his vehicle, despite officers giving him several demands to stop. He also refused to show officers his hands and would not comply with officers' orders.
Officers also found that Medina had a warrant and a suspended license due to a previous DUI.
Medina faces several charges including speeding, careless driving, operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol (under 21-years-old), driving too fast for traffic conditions, fleeing or evading police, resisting arrest, driving on DUI suspended license and failure of non-owner operator to maintain required insurance.
