LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- A Louisville man was arrested after police said he was drunk while sitting in the passenger's seat of a stolen car driven by a 14-year-old.
Police said they pulled over a car at the intersection of Floyd and Liberty streets at 1:45 Friday morning for failing to use a turn signal. Police said the driver of the car was a 14-year-old juvenile.
Police said the 14-year-old admitted there was marijuana in the car and police then searched the vehicle. During that search, the passenger in the car, Derral Wilder, was found to be "extremely intoxicated" and had an open bottle of vodka and beer in the vehicle, according to the police report.
Police said the vehicle was stolen.
Derral Wilder is charged with receiving stolen property, unlawful transaction with a minor and possession of an open container.
It's not known if the juvenile was also charged.
