LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – Police say 28-year-old Nathan Burnett was arrested after officers found various drugs, money and pipe bombs in his position.
According to the police report Burnett was driving through a city street at a high speed and ran a stop signal when he was making a turn. Police say they pulled Burnett over and had K-9 Marco search the vehicle and he alerted on Burnett’s Toyota. The officer found a black box under the hood of the Toyota containing crystal meth, marijuana, pills and money, according to police.
Police also conducted a search warrant in the 1300 block of Weyler Avenue, where Burnett lives, and they said they found two pipe bombs located in a bedroom. A bomb squad had to remove the bombs.
Burnett is charged with careless driving, trafficking a controlled substance and possession of a destructive device.
