LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Police have arrested a Louisville man after allegedly assaulting the mother of his child.
A woman tells police that at approximately 2:25 p.m. on July 7, Michael Dunn, 23, approached her while she was walking down the street and asked to see the baby they had in common. She refused many times, but Dunn was persistent and the woman gave in.
According to a police report, Dunn entered the house and saw the baby. When he turned to leave he said, "nah, f*** that! I am taking my baby with me!" Dunn returned to the baby's room and picked up the sleeping infant.
The victim made many attempts to retrieve the baby, but none were successful, police said. Dunn then grabbed the victim by her throat, pinned her against the wall and began strangling her. She claimed she could not breath or call for help.
Dunn is facing a domestic violence assault charge as well as a 1st degree wanton endangerment charge.
