LMPD: Former Kroger employee arrested for theft by deception

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- A former Kroger employee is behind bars for allegedly stealing about $3,000 from his job.

According to the arrest report, 19-year-old Zachary Stevenson worked at the Kroger on Shelbyville Road in Middletown.

Police said Stevenson would add fraudulent credit to gift cards and then purchase other gift cards and food items for himself.

Detectives said he admitted to the crime.

Stevenson is charged with theft by deception.
