LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- A man was arrested after police said they found him stumbling alongside Dixie Highway.
According to the arrest report, Danny J. Earley, 33 of Shepherdsville, was stopped by officers early Monday morning when they observed him "very unsteady on his feet."
As officers approached Earley, they said they could smell a very strong "odor of an alcoholic beverage." They said Earley kept telling them he was looking for a short-cut to Dixie, even though he was already on Dixie Highway.
Earley did not have anyone to call give him a ride home, nor did he have any money to pay for a cab, officers said, so they took him into custody for his own safety.
The reports states Earley then told officers his father was a member of the Outlaws and his family is untouchable.
Police said Earley also began mumbling about the murder of Bardstown Police officer Jason Ellis and mentioned something about the Cornbread Mafia.
Early is charged with alcohol intoxication in a public place and terroristic threatening.
