LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- A patron at a Louisville restaurant is facing several charges after police said he was "manifestly under the influence of alcohol."
According to the arrest report, 37-year-old Chad E. Carter was at an Applebee's on Dixie Highway with another man and the two were drunk and disorderly. Officers were called to the eatery when the men allegedly tried to sell marijuana to other patrons.
Upon arrival, officers said both men were "unsteady on their feet and had slurred speech. Carter and the other man tried to leave the restaurant but were stopped outside by officers.
Officers said the found a marijuana cigarette on the ground next to Carter. Both men were handcuffed and taken into custody.
Once at Metro Corrections police said Carter began intimidating the other man and told the man he would kill him if he snitched.
Carter is charged with tampering with physical evidence, possession of marijuana, alcohol intoxication in a public place and intimidating a participant in the legal process.
