LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) —  A local couple is arrested for allegedly stealing thousands of dollars from local Best Buys.

Ashley Brown, 24, admitted in a mirandized statement to police that her and her fiancé had stolen computers and MacBooks from Best Buy located at 4251 Outter Loop and the couple resold the stolen merchandise for cash to help support their drug habit.

Police said Brown and her fiancé stole approximately $10,000 worth of merchandise from Best Buy.
On Monday, Oct. 14, Brown was seen by police entering Best Buy with the same purse she has used to conceal merchandise before. Brown admitted to police that she had intended to steal, but she became nervous.

Police said Brown also admitted to thefts at the Best Buy located on 5085 Shelbyville Road.

Brown is charged with theft by unlawful taking and possession of drug paraphernalia.
