LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- Louisville Police have arrested several people after responding to a 'child left alone' dispatch at a local hotel.
According to the arrest report, officers responded to a child left alone call at a Days Inn. Upon arrival, officers discovered a hysterical child, about 2-years-old, in the hotel parking lot. The child was crying and unable to tell police the names of her parents, police said.
After knocking on several doors, officers said they were able to locate the child's parents. Mario Guzman, 31, and Samantha Ayala, 23, were identified as the child's parents and were found passed out.
After the hotel door was open, officers said they could clearly see a baggie of marijuana inside the room. Police then obtained verbal and written consent to search the hotel room.
The report states Marilyn Guzman, 19, and Jose Guzman, 22, were also inside the room. During the search, officers said they discovered a large amount of cocaine hidden inside soft drink cans with false tops. Police said they also found various types of drug paraphernalia and seized $7,000 in cash.
Ayala and Mario Guzman, are charged with 1st degree wanton endangerment. Marilyn Guzman is facing multiple drug related charges, including trafficking in a controlled substance, a 1st degree offense.
