LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- A Louisville man was arrested Friday after police said he was found unconscious on his couch with his apartment door wide open.
According to a police report, officers were called out to an apartment complex in the 5200 block of Shepherdsville Road on a report two small children left alone in a hallway.
Officers arrived on the scene saw the children and talked to neighbors to find out which apartment the children lived in.
Police said as they approached the apartment they could see the front door was open and saw 26-year-old Timothy Grundy passed-out on the couch. Officers said they had to "physically wake" Grundy.
Once inside the apartment, police said Grundy had a bag of marijuana, a bag of pills and a "white rock" believed to be cocaine in plain view.
Grundy was arrested and is charged with endangering the welfare of a minor, two counts of possession of a controlled substance and possession marijuana.
The children were release to the custody of their mother.
