LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- A Louisville woman being booked into jail is facing additional charges after corrections officers said she tried to sneak a lighter into jail in her vagina.
According to officers, Amy Kapetanious was asked if she had any contraband on her while being processed into jail. She said no, but a body scan revealed an abnormality in her vaginal area, according to police.
She was asked multiple times if she had anything hiding in her vagina, and Kapetanious reportedly said, "no, you can strip search me."
Once inside the strip search room, police said she pulled a lighter out of her vagina.
Kapetanious is charged with promoting contraband and tampering with physical evidence.
