(NEWS RELEASE) -- The Kentucky State Police Frankfort Post is conducting an investigation involving a stabbing in Spencer County. On Wednesday, Jan. 23 at approx., 4:40 p.m. the Shelby County dispatch received a 911 call from the victim Jason Hill. He reported that he had been stabbed several times. He was unable to give his locations.
The Shelby County dispatch was able to trace the 911 cell phone call. The dispatch gave a possible location of KY-55 south of Shelbyville, Ky. to the Shelby County Sheriff’s Department and Shelby County EMS. A Kentucky State Police (CVE) Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Officer heard the compliant on his county radio and advised Post 12 that he would be assisting the Sheriff’s Office. A KSP Frankfort Post dispatcher then passed the information to all KSP and CVE Units in the area.
At 4:54 p.m. the victim Jason Hill, age 29, of Branchville, Ind. was dropped off in the Elk Creek Grocery Store parking lot in Spencer County. Law enforcement in the area was unable to locate the vehicle or persons that dropped off the Mr. Hill. Air Methods Helicopter Ambulance transported Mr. Hill to the University of Louisville Hospital. He was admitted with non-life threading injuries.
The incident is believed to have occurred in the area of KY-55 and Airport Drive north of Taylorsville, Ky. in Spencer County. The investigation is ongoing by the Kentucky State Police Frankfort Post.
