FRANKFORT, Ky. (WHAS11) – On Monday morning, Kentucky State Police arrested Nathan Vitai, 26, on charges related to child pornography.

In April an Internet Crimes Against Children investigation was launched after they discovered a suspect sharing images of child exploitation over the internet.

The investigation continued until a search warrant was executed at Vitai’s residence in Nicholasville. Vitai is charged with 20 counts of possession of matter portraying a sex performance by a minor, 1 count of distribution of matter portraying a sex performance by a minor and tampering with physical evidence.

A full forensic examination of the evidence is pending and Vitai is currently being held under a $10,000 cash bond.

The successful arrest is credited to the KSP Electronic Crime Branch with assistance of troopers from Richmond.
