FRANKFORT, Ky. (WHAS11) -- Frankfort police say officers used reasonable force when fatally shooting a suspect at the end of December.
Police say on December 30 Gary Meadows, 55, came out of a home on Winding Way Drive pointing a gun at officers. That is when Meadows was fatally shot.
A preliminary investigation by the Frankfort Police Department shows officers acted according to police guidelines.
Kentucky State Police are doing their own investigation of the shooting.
