Inmate escapes from Hardin Co. jail work release program

HARDIN CO. Ky. (WHAS11) -- At about 11:45 a.m. on Saturday morning, an inmate escaped from a community service work detail at the Elizabethtown High School Transportation Department.

Anthony Dale Kelley was serving time for a parole violation on theft and burglary charges with the Hardin Co. Detention Center. His escape was reported to the jail by the community service work supervisor when he lost sight of Kelley.

Kelley is described as a white male, approximately 5’10” with brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a dark colored t-shirt, black and white tennis shoes and an orange vest.

Anyone with information as to the location of Kelley is urged to contact Trooper Jack Baumgardner with the KSP at 270-766-5078 or Captain Walter Hinote with the Hardin Co. Detention Center at 270-765-4159. Police ask that you do not attempt to approach this individual if you see him.
