NEW ALBANY, Ind. (WHAS11) -- A Danville, Ky. man that pleaded guilty to a fatal drunken driving crash on Highway 111 in Floyd County, Ind. will spend 12 years in prison.
Wesley Bradshaw was convicted of causing death when operating a motor vehicle back in August in connection with the death of Kevin Hammersmith.
Police said Bradshaw was under the influence of alcohol when he was heading home from the Horseshoe Casino in November 2011. Bradshaw was traveling southbound on Hwy. 111 near Gallagher Station in Floyd County when he crossed the center line and hit Hammersmith's car.
The sentencing is part of a plea deal. Bradshaw was sentenced to 15 years with three years suspended.
