LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- A homeless man accused of beating a Good Samaritan faced a judge Friday morning.
Christopher Helm is charged with robbery.
Police say he broke into Stephen Brown's Shively home after Brown gave him food and attacked him with a cast iron skillet.
Helm took a flat-screen TV from the home while Brown played dead.
Helm, who Brown identified through police photos, is due back in court the day after Christmas.
