LOUISVILLE, Ky -- An elementary school principal in Elizabethtown is now off the job and suspended while an investigation is underway.
The investigation is into alleged actions by Principal Mark Thomas. Thomas was notified yesterday of the suspension. WHAS11 spoke with the director for media relations at Hardin County Public Schools who says police are not involved in the investigation and no students are involved.
“We want to make that very clear to the public, that the investigation does not concern any students at all. We can't say what it does involve but we can say that it does not involve students,” said John Wright, Hardin County Schools.
All the parents we spoke to say they are pleased with the job Thomas is doing at the school. Some were shocked to learn of the investigation and suspension.
