LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- The man accused of killing a murder witness in Louisville has pleaded not guilty.
Dejuan Hammond was back in court Friday in connection with the murder of Troya Sheckles.
Sheckles was killed in 2009 as she was set to testify against Hammond's brother, Lloyd, in the murder of her boyfriend in 2006.
This is the second time Hammond has been charged with the crime. He was re-indicted earlier this week after the original charges were dismissed because of a lack of witnesses.
The case is set to go to trial in April.
A second man, Steven Pettway, has already been convicted of murder in connection with Sheckles death. He was sentenced to 55 years in prison.
