LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – Four Louisville day care owners were arraigned on fraud charges on June 16.
One of the day care owners was Katrina Clyburn, the owner of Trina's Treehouse.
She's accused of collecting nearly one million dollars in overpayments from public assistance benefits.
Clyburn is accused of making false statements and misrepresenting the day care to fraudulently obtain food stamps, Medicaid and child care assistance.
All of Clyburn's day cares were shut down when a child died after swallowing a push pin in 2011.
On Monday morning, June 16, Clyburn pleaded not guilty to the fraud charges.
