(WHAS11) -- A former Hardin County jailer pleads guilty just before his trial was set to begin.
34-year-old Shadrick Blackmon pleaded guilty to a charge of bribery of a public servant and will be sentenced next month.
Blackmon, a former deputy jailer at the Hardin County Detention Center, was arrested in August of last year. He was charged with taking $800 from a woman to illegally remove her boyfriend from the detention center.
Prosecutors have recommended a sentence of six years probation contingent on employment, community service and a $10,000 fine.
