ELIZABETHTOWN, Ky. (WHAS11) -- An Elizabethtown man is facing charges in connection with the death of his daughter.
Twenty-one-year-old Barry Williams Jr. is charged with first degree assault after police said he admitted to shaking his 6-month-old daughter.
According to court documents, the baby was brought to Kosair Children’s Hospital Tuesday with a severe brain bleed. The baby died Wednesday and doctors said she suffered from shaken baby syndrome.
Police said additional charges are pending.
