MARION, Ky. (AP) -- A Crittenden County grand jury has indicted a former teacher on multiple sex charges.

Police Sgt. Dean Patterson told WPSD-TV (http://bit.ly/1dycuoG) that Blair Winders was arrested Thursday after the panel handed down a 56-count indictment that included charges of sex abuse involving a female high school student.

Crittenden County Schools Superintendent Rachel Yarbrough says Winders was a tenured math teacher at Crittenden County High School. She said he also coached golf and middle school basketball. The station reports he resigned from his position last week.

A Crittenden County jail official said Winders is being held on a $100,000 cash bond and had an arraignment scheduled for Nov. 14. The jail did not have a listing for an attorney.
