Couple pleads not guilty to wanton endangerment charges

LOUISVILLE, KY. (WHAS11) -- A Louisville couple appeared in court on July 24 for the first time after being arrested for leaving six children in a vacant house with no electricity, running water or bathroom.

Debra Combs and Christopher Strickland pleaded not guilty to charges of wanton endangerment after their arrest on Bank Street in the Portland Neighborhood.

They each face a $5,000 bond and cannot have any contact with the children who are all at the Home of the Innocents.
