We could learn Monday whether former State Representative Steve Nunn is competent to stand trial on charges he murdered his ex-fiancée.
Nunn will be in court in Lexington via phone.
He has undergone a court-ordered mental evaluation and a mental health expert is expected to testify at Monday's hearing.
Police say Nunn shot and killed 29-year-old Amanda Ross several times outside her Lexington home in September.
Nunn has pleaded not guilty.
