Louisville, Ky. (WHAS11) - After a delayed court hearing, Cody File's probation has been revoked after being released on shock probation.

He was released after serving eight months of a 14-year-sentence for killing his girlfriend while driving under the influence.

In 2011, File was convicted of killing 18-year-old Caroline Minks. Minks, File's girlfriend at the time, was killed when he crashed on River Road back in 2009. File pleaded guilty to a manslaughter charge, but served just a portion of his sentence.

In April, File was arrested and charged with driving under the influence, failure to a report a traffic accident, operating on a suspended operator's license, failure to surrender a revoked operator's license and failure to wear a seatbelt
