Louisville, Ky. (WHAS11) - WHAS11 News is finding out new details in the murder case against the man accused of killing Sullivan University student Andrew Compton.

Right now, police do not have a body but they do have a lot of evidence, including blood, witness accounts and disturbing items collected at the scene.

That has some people who live near the alleged suspect concerned about what O'Bryan may have been capable of.

As Greg O'Bryan awaits trial on a charge that he murdered Andrew Compton and abused his corpse, police have been working hard to build a case against him.

Witnesses told police about the hours when Compton first went missing after agreeing to meet O'Bryan on an online dating site.

One man, who doesn't want to be identified, saw Compton's mother putting up fliers in the Highlands apartment building where Compton was allegedly killed.

“His mother came over here that Sunday and was asking whether we had seen Greg. I actually was kind of wary, because Greg was home Thursday, then we didn't see him from Thursday until Sunday. The boy's mama wasn't gone two minutes when Greg pulled in the parking lot,” he said.

Court documents released Monday indicate O'Bryan called Compton's parents and the lead detective while he was still intoxicated on Monday, November 1; three days after Andrew went missing.

Witnesses say he eventually told this story about what happened with Compton.

“Just acted like he went on his own way at 3 o'clock in the morning. Said when he left, he was on the phone calling somebody else,” said one witness.

Eventually O'Bryan told police he killed Compton during sex, and then threw his body in a dumpster off Newburg Road.

The contents were eventually taken to a Southern Indiana landfill but Compton's body was never found.

In the search warrant performed at O'Bryan's apartment, police indicated that found little boy's t-shirts and underwear, a teddy bear, and Tasmanian devil underwear possibly stained with bodily fluids.

In addition, a search of O'Bryan's computer turned up an image of two 10-to-14-year-old boys lying in bed naked.
This is upsetting to neighbors.

“I wasn't aware of this child related stuff. I thought initially it was two consenting adults and maybe it got out of control or something. That's a little disturbing, that there are so many child related perverted items,” said one neighbor.

Ray Shin says that's especially troubling because O'Bryan's apartment is across the street from his daughter's elementary school.

A pre-trial hearing is scheduled to take place Thursday.

WHAS11 talked to Andrew Compton's father Tuesday but he did not want to talk about the new information.
