(WHAS11) -- The cab driver who was the lone survivor of a fiery crash near horseshoe casino appeared before a judge Wednesday.
Charles Barlow told police he had been driving before that deadly crash that happened early Monday morning.
Police say Barlow was off duty and driving his cab more than 80 MPH on Highway 111 in Floyd County, IN. He veered into the other lane, hit and killed the driver, later identified as Thomas Stinson. Barlows fiancé, Laura Weigand and his two best friends Michael Roby and Tara Hirsekorn were all killed.
Barlow was able to crawl out of the burning cab.
Police are still waiting on toxicology tests right now to determine if more charges will be filed.
