WATERLOO, Iowa (WHAS11) -- A brazen robbery caught on camera but police said the surveillance video is not what led them to the suspects.
Security cameras caught two suspected burglars crashing through the front window of a Waterloo, Iowa convenience store. Police said the men were after a video poker machine and they may have gotten away with it if not for one of the men leaving a cell phone behind.
It is hard to make any type of positive identification from the video, but police said it didn’t take long for investigators to track down the suspects using the left-behind cell phone.
