BULLITT COUNTY, Ky. (WHAS11) -- Bullitt County authorities say a robber is on the loose and they believe the suspect is armed and targeting one area close to Mount Washington.

Within the last month police have seen a spike in crime around the area of 44 East and Bogard Lane.

They now have surveillance video of one of the crimes and they think this could be the link to solving several cases.

The video gives three points of view of a robbery at Bobby's Place gas station.

The suspect has on a mask with red dots on the cheeks and he is wearing what appears to be some kind of bubble coat.

Police say he flashed a weapon and reached over the counter and took $500 out of the register.

There was a burglary at another gas station nearby and other incidents including criminal mischief.

Police say they could all be linked to this one person.

The only thing police know from witnesses is that he's a white male with a thin build.

In the robbery of Bobby's Place gas station, police say the suspect left on foot. That leads them to believe the suspect lives in the area.

If you have any information or recognize the coat or mask from the video you are urged to call the Bullitt County Sheriff's Department at 502-955-7804.
