BARDSTOWN, Ky. – The nephew of Bardstown Mayor Bill Sheckles was arrested Saturday night after after a group of men claiming to be members of the Bardstown Money Gang assaulted several people in a park.

Police said Brant Sheckles, 24, was one of many people who invaded a field party in Bardstown Saturday, then punched and kicked several girls at the party.

At this point, police only confirm Sheckles' arrest in this incident, but say there could be more arrests made and detectives are still investigating the incident.

WHAS11 first reported on the Bardstown Money Gang in February.  It’s not known if Sheckles is a member of the gang, but police do say several people identifying them as gang members were part of that attack.

A motive in the attack has not been released.

Brant Sheckles is charged with menacing, terroristic threatening, disorderly conduct, theft by unlawful taking or disposition/shoplifting and fleeing or evading police.
