Bank robbery suspect may be connected to missing Hart Co. girl case

SHEPHERDSVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- Police say a man suspected of robbing a bank in Bullitt County may also be involved in the disappearance of a 2-year-old Hart County girl.

Law enforcement is connecting the dots with a man suspected in crimes across two counties, including the abduction of his daughter.

The man police say walked into a Shepherdsville bank on Monday afternoon, Oct. 8, pointed a gun at a teller, and demanded cash.

Now thanks to tips from the community, they've identified the suspected robber as Joshua Yaeger.

The same Joshua Yeager Metro Police suspect of abducting a toddler, Jaylynn Maxey.

The 2-year-old Maxey was taken in Louisville last weekend.
 
Girl's mother told police, Yeager tried to abduct the 2-year-old, her infant brother, and mother. 

The mother says she was able to get away with the baby boy.

In addition to the missing child and bank robbery investigations, Yeager is also wanted for an outstanding bench warrant for violating his probation evading police, identity theft, and possession of forgery instruments.
