‘Bad Hair Bandit’ pleads guilty to series of robberies

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (WHAS11) -- A Central Kentucky man known as the "Bad Hair Bandit" faces up to 24 years in prison after pleading guilty to a series of bank robberies.

Jason Fox pleaded guilty in Laurel County to robbing banks in Barbourville, Pine Knot, Corbin and Williamsburg in 2011.

During a string of robberies, police say he wore a variety of ill-fitting wigs as a disguise. He’ll be sentenced in august.

 His wife, Tasha Fox, pleaded guilty in February. She'll be sentenced in June. She faces up to 15 years in prison.
