LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- The man accused of killing a St. Matthews Kroger employee is facing additional charges.
Police said Aaron Cross, who was an employee of the same Kroger on Hubbards Lane, manually entered a fraudulent discount code to obtain a discount for purchases of products.
Police said Cross, or an unnamed co-defendant, would bring items to the cash register and after scanning the purchases, Cross would enter that code, which significantly reduced the price of items.
Police said the actions of Aaron Cross cost Kroger more than $500.
He's now facing theft charges.
