LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – Two men were arrested on Jan. 15, at 5340 Dixie Highway after police said they were seen on the Bob Montgomery car lot removing parts from a Chevy Cruze.
Police said 23-year-old Arias Turrelles and 26-year-old Puig Martinez had shattered the windows to two Chevy Cruzes and they were removing the parts of one car when an officer made contact with them on the lot.
According to the police report Turrelles and Martinez fled on foot and jumped a fence. The two men were taken into custody and police said they recovered tools from inside the car that include: a drill, flashlight, screw driver and metal pipe.
Police said the two caused $5,000 worth of damage.
Turrelles is charged with theft by unlawful taking, fleeing or evading police in the second degree and criminal mischief in the first degree. Matinez is charged with theft by unlawful taking, fleeing or evading police in the second degree and criminal mischief in the first degree.
