(WHAS11)- Two men accused of running a Ponzi scheme have pleaded not guilty.
According to an indictment yesterday, William Humes from Elizabethtown and Swainson Hawke from Macon, Georgia are charged with conspiracy to commit mail fraud and aiding and abetting.
The indictment says the two men operated a multilevel marketing scheme between 2005 and 2008 that deceived investors by promising inflated returns.
Both are free on $10,000 bond.
