LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- Metro police are investigating four homicides in less than six hours.
“Our homicide detectives are working overtime as well as much of the staff. We’re looking at different strategies that we need to employ. We’re also talking with people just trying to see and get a feel for what actually is occurring and what might possibly be leading up to this violence," LMPD spokesperson Alicia Smiley said.
The first call came in before 11 p.m. Thursday. with a man found dead in a car on Wilmoth Ave.
Another double shooting happened in the 100 Block of East Kingston Avenue. Police said the call came in just before 3 a.m. LMPD said one victim was found dead in an apartment and another victim was found just outside the apartment.
The victims are a male and a female, believed to be in their twenties, according to police.
The investigation is ongoing in this case. There are no suspects at this time.
“Here lately, it’s been real quiet, and I can’t figure out why somebody would do that," neighbor Kenneth Holland said. “I feel sorry for the family and loved ones that lost people that they lost. I pray out to the higher power out there that they hopefully can find justice and what happened.”
While police were working the scene at Kingston, another homicide was reported around 3:45 a.m. Friday. This homicide happened in the 7000 block of Dale Road. One woman died from the shooting.
