Police: Suspect arrested, charged in shooting of man in PRP

Arrest after man found shot at Home Depot

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- Days after a shooting left a man injured in a Home Depot parking lot, police have now arrested another man in connection with that crime.

Joshua Lawrence, 28, is facing assault charges.

Police responded to the 6800 block of Dixie Highway just before 4 p.m. on Sep. 13 where they say a white male in his 40’s sustained a gunshot wound to the chest at Dixie Highway and Lower Hunters Trace.

According to an LMPD spokesman, the victim, and his companion drove to the Home Depot where police were called after the original shooting occurred.

The man was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. His companion was not injured.

According to an arrest report, the victim identified Lawrence as the shooter.

Lawrence is currently being held at Louisville Metro Corrections on a $100,000 bond, according to jail records.

Lawrence is scheduled to appear in court on Sep. 27.
