LOUISVILLE (WHAS11) – The Louisville Metro Police department said a 30-year-old Louisville man set fire to his grandparents’ home and vehicle on Oct. 18.
Charles Goldenschuh, according to a police report, poured gasoline on his grandparents’ front door and set it on fire.
Police said Goldenschuh’s grandmother was known to be wheelchair dependent and her wheelchair exit was located at the front door.
Goldenschuh then set fire to their vehicle and fled the scene, police said.
The police report states Goldenschuh admitted to this in taped statements. He is charged with arson in the first and second degree.
His bond is set at $25,000 and will appear in court on Oct. 28.
