Man arrested, charged in fatal Hillview hit-and-run

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – Police have arrested a man they say is responsible for a hit-and-run that killed a 19-year-old Saturday night in Hillview.

Police said Bradley T. Cannon, 38, of Louisville contacted authorities Sunday morning wanting to turn himself in after he struck Robert Pace at Preston Highway and Market Place Drive.

Police said they met Cannon in the 100 block of Bishop Lane in Shepherdsville and took him into custody without incident.

Cannon is facing murder, tampering with physical evidence, wanton endangerment, failure to render aid and leaving the scene of an accident resulting in death. Police said Cannon also had an active warrant in Jefferson County for possession of a controlled substance.

He’s currently booked at the Bullitt County Detention Center awaiting arraignment.
