LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – Police say shoppers and employees at an Iroquois neighborhood Valu Market are responsible for stopping a would-be robber.
According to an arrest citation, Yuley Gomez walked into the store on Mitscher Avenue Nov. 24 with a ski mask covering his face.
He then reportedly pointed a gun, demanding cash from shoppers and employees.
Police say two people were able to disarm Gomez and hold him down until officers arrived.
When police confronted Gomez, they say he admitted to the crime.
He’s currently being held at Metro Corrections and charged with first-degree robbery.
