LMPD seeking information on shooting victim dropped off at hospital

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – Louisville Metro Police are asking the public for help in a recent homicide investigation.

Police say they responded to University Hospital Saturday around 5:45 p.m. after a man was dropped off with an apparent gunshot wound. The man, who they believe is in his 30’s, died a short time later.

Police believe the victim was dropped off by a friend who was possibly driving a red Chevy Impala. They say the man was a black male, possibly in his 30’s, and wearing a white t-shirt and blue jean. Police said the person assisted the victim after he was shot. They still do not know where the shooting occurred and are trying to pinpoint the exact location where it happened.

Detectives working on the case would like to speak with this man.

If you have any information, you are asked to call the Anonymous Tip Line at 574-LMPD or the LMPD Homicide Office at (502) 574-7055.
