Fraud suspect ordered to pay WHAS Crusade for Children

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – The WHAS Crusade for Children will recoup nearly $250,000 stolen in a money laundering-wire fraud case.

David Cary Ford, 54, was sentenced to four years in prison.

Ford took more than $1 million when he was a practicing attorney and the executor of 7 estates in Louisville.

As part of his sentence, Ford was ordered to pay back the money to 21 different victims, including several charities.

He owes the WHAS Crusade for Children roughly $246,000.
