Dollar General workers tackle would-be robber

LOUISVILLE (WHAS11) -- A Louisville man is facing robbery charges after allegedly stealing from a Dollar General.

According to the arrest report, 59-year-old Craig Dunn was attempting to steal and was spotted by the store’s loss and prevention team. The employees closed the entrance doors so Dunn could not escape.

Dunn then, according to police, became irate and threatened to “kill everyone.”

Employees noted that he kept reaching for the small of his back, so the manager created a diversion and grabbed what turned out to be a large pocket knife. A witness tackled Dunn to the ground and held him until police arrived.
