2nd man charged in deadly New Albany shooting turns self in

NEW ALBANY (WHAS11) – A second Jeffersonville man facing charges in connection to a deadly shooting in New Albany turned himself in on Tuesday, Nov. 14. 

Michael Baines III of Jeffersonville, Ind. turned himself in on Monday, Nov. 13, and is being held at the Floyd County Jail. Robert Sheckles, Jr. was the only other person charged in this deadly shooting and he turned himself in on Tuesday. 

The shooting happened on Nov. 5 near a Marathon gas station in the area of Charlestown Road and Old Ford Road. Prosecutors in New Albany said Eddie “Bernard” Hamilton, 33, was shot “execution style.”
