13-year-old arrested in connection with Cherokee Triangle homicide

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – Metro Police say they’ve made another arrest in a fatal shooting in Cherokee Triangle.

Police said a 13-year-old was taken into custody for the November 5 shooting of 30-year-old Jason Spencer in the 1200 block of Everett Avenue.

The 13-year-old is being charged with murder, robbery and theft by unlawful taking (auto) in connection with the case.

Three 15-year-olds have already been taken into custody.

It’s unclear if any other arrests will be made in this case.

The identities of the teens are not being made public because of their ages.

The investigation is ongoing.
